Halo 3: ODST

Well, we, the long-awaited sequel to the Halo series is among us: released September 22, Halo 3: ODST does not put us in the shoes of Master Chief, but in those of an unimportant Shock Trooper.
What most interested in the new Halo 3 ODST was Firefight mode. But of course there are many other multiplayer modes, which are the real reason for playing Halo 3 ODST. Even if the price was a little pumped, the materials inside the package are many.
HistoryHalo 3: ODST takes place during the events of the beginning of Halo 2. It begins in a transport ship in which you are arguing with your buddies on the suicide mission that awaits you. You will be launched in New Mombasa.
In any case, the history is fascinating and will keep you attention, but obviously one that attracts most is the multiplayer mode!
Gameplay
The campaign Halo 3 ODST is quite short, with 3 friends in fact lasted only 4 hours of heroic co-op, was much more difficult than the single player campaign of Halo 3 single player and is very similar to Section 8. Usually it is pretty repetitive it all: her way up to a certain point, reject waves of enemies and repeat the pattern again.
If nothing else, even if it's all pretty repetitive, you will have the marker on the map objective to be achieved, but it is up to you to choose how to get there. Although the soldiers in Halo 3: ODST have shields as Master Chief, if nothing else you can take advantage of many covers.
The soldiers in Halo 3: ODST are not Spartans. The shields are replaced by stamina: once this is over, you get a small amount of life that can not regenerate until
will not find a pack in the middle level. This is what really makes the game difficult.
Were added, including weapons, a pistol with silencer and a machine gun with silencer. The gun has a high ratio of shooting and lets you kill an enemy with a single blow to the head. The light of the helmet has been replaced by the system VISR, which highlights the enemies of the dark red, blue arms, friends and the boundaries of green yellow.
Obviously the one that is expected to Halo 3 ODST Firefight is the multiplayer mode. As was the case also in the mode "Horde" Gears of War 2, you will be offered, along with 3 friends, wave after wave of Covenant which are obviously very much more numerous than you. Also, after each wave will greatly increase the difficulty, the enemies will increase their offensive and defensive skills, will launch dozens of grenades or make your weapons ineffective.
The mode in Firefight Halo 3 ODST is damn fun when you have a good group of friends with whom you share a number of lives that will be reset every 5 rounds. As a mode quite challenging, it is obvious that it needed a lot of teamwork and communication in particular. Should not be heroes, because you risk losing the team to make the lives available. Each map has about 10 goals which guarantee the team around 200,000 points. In easy mode a map takes about half an hour, so if you add two players would increase the difficulty to normal and it would take about 45 minutes to complete. So how Firefight Halo 3: ODST appears to provide a good amount of hours of gameplay.

As also happened with other episodes of Halo, the graphics seem a little dated. There were aesthetic improvements compared to Halo 3, but the backgrounds are always very beautiful, especially that of New Mombasa. In the country there are after all decent quality video.
The dubbing is very well done, so that the characters often make jokes (as when you are approaching the Covenant).
But the game is much better in the soundtrack: very impressive! He always knew that the soundtrack for Halo 3 was very nice, but that ODST is even better. It 'truly spectacular, and therefore one can not help but to agree with composers and musicians who have produced this beauty!
Halo 3: ODST is actually a prequel to Halo 3. There's nothing really new that adds to what we had, and nothing that really convinces. The second disc, there is the multiplayer part of Halo 3 with all the downloadable maps, with the addition of 3 unpublished. So if you do not yet have Halo3, ODST is a good buy in this sense. But if you have it already, you will gain only about 4 hours of campaign that you could replay 2-3 times, and Firefight mode, which is so funny, but that makes you think: once you have finished all of the maps, why continue to play? At least in Halo 3 you have the satisfaction of doing a blow with a nice plasma grenade ... So, the game is fun, but very short. The prerogatives of the ODST will guarantee fun and challenges, but surely, even if the package is decent in general, does not offer much in relation to money spent.
